Taylor Swift has responded to Kim Kardashian‘s allegations on her cover of GQ magazine that the singer was aware of Kanye West‘s infamous line ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have s*x/Why? I made that b*tch famous’ before the song was released.
Swift in a newly released statement, claims ‘much of what Kim is saying is incorrect‘ as she only spoke once with the rapper and never approved of derogatory remarks on the song.
‘Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she
recognises the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating
what she has been told by Kanye West. However, that does not change the
fact that much of what Kim is saying is incorrect,’ the statement read in part.
‘Kanye West and Taylor only spoke once on the phone while she was
on vacation with her family in January of 2016 and they have never
spoken since. Taylor has never denied that conversation took place.’
Pleading to be left alone by the couple, Swift’s statement further
claimed she was never aware that the conversation with Kanye was
recorded, though Kim had claimed the singer wants the recording
destroyed.
‘Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and
was humiliated. Kim Kardashian’s claim that Taylor and her team were
aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why
Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone,’ it concluded.
